Each Thursday we transform Ficken3000’s darkroom into a performance lounge, where artists, writers, and musicians from Berlin and abroad present one-off projects responding to the unique properties of the space.

Berlin Sabotage is a queer party born from the collaboration between the video artist Fabio Bocchese (Boxikus) and the musician Francesco Ciardo (Franzüss). The project started as a benefit party to support legal actions for two girls in jail. After some party both agree to continue and use it as a means to promote emerging artists whether dj, vj or performers. The philosophy of this event is that of an open-party-project, with various collaborators, on two dancefloors, with a strong visual content, with affordable prices and equal oppurtunities of work and expression for girls and boys. From the very beginning our party was crowded by the lesbian scene as same as by the male gay community, and a short time after from the scene even more extensive of many different Berlin clubbers, who sought something new and brilliant on that flat landscape dominated only by Berghain. In fact, apart from this famous club, rightly considered one of best club in the world, there was no real alternative, especially in gay circles.
Sabotage Berlin has finally brought up good music, selected and mixed by interesting and passionate dj..s, out of business logic and far from the "very-expensive-dj..shit" system.
This project represents the connection between musical and human experiences of Francesco and Fabio, whose rised up from the european free-party scene listening to and playing drum and bass, hard core tribe, neuro funk and breakbeat. Sabotage Berlin promotes a pure techno sound on the main-floor, and a more contemporary sound from the street and beyond (from the drum and bass to break-core, from hip-hop to broken beats) giving you something absolutely new for a queer party.
Any mainstream and cheesy shit is immediately banned from a Sabotage event, which is enriched with photographic exhibitions (setted up by the italian photographer Discordant) and with bondage and suspensions performances of another valuable contributor, the basque body artist called Jon (Un autre Corps). Main co-workers and developers of this project are Max M (graphic-designer, producer and popular promoter from the italian techno scene), Karina: one of the most interesting djanes in the local indie scene. And Oskur, a video artist from Madrid which gave us a strong human and artistic contribution from the very beginning.
In less than an year, Sabotage has produced 16 terrific parties reaching a peak of 800 visitors, standing as the most respected, followed and best attended alternative party in town.
